Julie [Phase 3]

Upon completing the touch points for 816 Recording, I began to really put this company into context. The design elements I used started to "family up" and come together to start to really create a system.

816 Recording is meant to reflect 3 main attributes. These 3 words are modern, elegant, and timeless. This company also has a lot of power meaning that the item that they have for sale isn't just another product – it's a life change. It's a step towards becoming who you want to be and going where you want to go. And, it's about passion.

At 816 Recording we believe it's time to give it all you've got and to let us hope you get "Your Piece of the Sky".

[Ray] Phase 3 ...ish

There were few things going right with this project, changes have been made and are in process of getting produced. However, at the moment there are a few variables that have been covered and are the most current.

To begin the line up is the stationery:

Back of Letterhead
The letterhead was taken in an interesting direction, but not the right one. The color palette was later changed, and approached from a much more subtle spot. Introducing a light gradient and a previouse color palette to push the idea of calm and meditation.
Previous Color Palette :

Next the Invoice:

It was later agreed that the invoice was an element that did not fit with this particular system, and was later converted to a promotional postcard. The postcard would carry with it the same soothing gradient style and color palette.

Envelope:
Front
 Back
The envelope's layout and style for the most part stayed the same but the over all color palette once again changed to better suit the new system.

Buisness Card:

Oasis Shirts:

Possible Vehicle Coverage:

Overall it was decided that the color palette and graphic elements were too "active" & "loud," and needed to be toned down to embody a more calm, meditative feel.

[Ian] Phase 2

Rebrand KCTV for an audience who is an active participant in the Kansas City community. Showing KCTV is trustworthy and neutral, with a forward, concise, and energized design style, putting the focus back onto the facts.

There was focus on creating a design that was forward thinking that was new in the landscape of news reporting. All three directions encompass the 5 attributes, however the last one, the "speech bubble" ended up being the winner.

The final Consisted of Three Primary Directions :

The objective of this re-design is to retain the original in-store ideals of self worth, inner healing, and spirituality. While appealing to a newer, mainstream audience with a sense of simplicity, quirky sophistication, and quality. Because sometimes a little relaxation can be a hard to come by.

>Design objective: Re-brand the Kemper Museum of Contemporary art: accurately visualise the versatility, diversity, boldness and aesthetic qualities of modern and contemporary art. This should engage and appeal to a wide, diverse audience.

>Mission statement: We believe that the arts foster exchange, debate, and greater understanding of the human experience . Further more, we aim for a wider audience to partake in this versatile, educational, and aesthetic experience.

_________
1.

My first direction... the idea is to here is to use a simple mark that will not draw attention the the artwork, but rather compliment it with this system of logos that have different colours.

This is my favourite variation:

Practical Application:

________
2.

My second direction was on a meaningful stream of shapes with different planes weaving in and out.. These are ment to look somewhat dimentional, dynamic, and energetic.

_______
3.

Then I have my third idea... the one I think has the most potential. A system of planes that look multi-dimensional. inspired from the meaningful architecture of the Kemper building itself. This system of colorful, energetic shapes can playfully interact with the artwork and make for a flexible graphic element.

The existing brand is called Wines by Jennifer, a wine boutique located in Parkville, Missouri. That provides customers with a unique wine tasting experience, allowing their clients to test wines from different regions of the world. This boutique is located in a house, which its relaxed environment allows for testers to feel like they were just at home. The rebranding of this establishment will involve renaming it to make it more accessible and up-to date, focusing the branding to have a younger audience to visit the establishment. The goal of my design is to convey a sense of modernity and a fresh approach to the act of wine tasting. The identity will speak to a younger audience with a credible, flexible and progressive attitude. Making wine tasting a fun and welcoming experience.

The three directions from my rebrand are 405 PEAK, Bottle Shock and Nutty & Roasted.
The one that I feel best represents my design objective is 405 PEAK, this brandmark is modern, fun, credible and friendly.
