problem statement = design objectives

a problem statement or design objective might read something like this: "the goal of the visual identify is to convey these ideas...speak in this voice...reach this audience through...embody these attributes...address these needs...etc., etc." it's a couple of sentences worth of telling me what your design will do and what charactersitics it will have.
